Registration/Tuition Policies
Registration: Registration for Shaw Preschool should be done online through shawpreschool.com or shawdance.com. Software will charge ALL students an initial $45 towards the registration fees as listed below:
Annual Registration Fee-Two-days per week: $85.00
Annual Registration Fee-Three-days per week $100.00
This fee will cover all monthly statements, billing expenses, artwork, snacks and supply fees for the preschooler throughout the school year. This fee is non-refundable.
Our online software will charge an initial $45 registration fee upon sign up. The additional preschool registration fee will be added manually by our office staff in July.
Tuition: Monthly tuition for preschool is due on the first of each month, and recurrent auto pay is required. If tuition is not paid by the 15th, a $35.00 late fee will be assessed. Any unpaid accounts will be turned over to a collection agency.
Monthly Tuition- Two-days per week: $115.00
Monthly Tuition- Three-days per week: $140.00
Tuition Discounts: A $10.00 per month discount will be given for the preschooler who also enrolls in a dance class at Shaw Dance Studios. A $5.00 per month discount will be given to the second or more immediate family member enrolled in dance and/or preschool.
Illness: Children who are sick should not attend preschool. Preschoolers with fevers, severe coughs, rashes, diarrhea, vomiting or colds should not come to school. In addition, students with lice, pinworms or other parasites should not attend preschool until the problem is completely cleared. If a student gets sick at preschool, we wil first contact the parent and then contact the second person on the emergency phone list. Parents should come and pick up their children immediately when sick.
Toilet Training: Preschoolers at Shaw Preschool MUST be potty trained and out of pull-ups, etc. Students MUST be able to wipe themselves and dress themselves after using the restroom.
Preschool Pack: All Shaw Preschool students shall purchase the Shaw Preschool Pack! This is $40, and includes the preschool T-shirt, tote backpack, pencil, crayons, the year’s homework sheets, song book, and a treat!
Treats/Snacks: Shaw Preschool will provide treats or a daily snack, and if your child has special allergies, or food sensitivities, we must be informed ahead of time.
Parents provide daily snacks for students with specific dietary issues, i.e. celiacs, gluten-free, etc.
Birthdays: We will attempt to celebrate each child’s birthday on the preschool day nearest the child’s actual birthday. For birthdays, we will send home a birthday bag in which the child can bring three special things about him/herself. Students may also bring treats, if desired, on their birthday. (Cupcakes are not allowed.) Treats must be individually wrapped, and store-bought.
Summer birthdays will be celebrated during the school year- TBA.
Games & Toys: Children should not bring toys from home.
Supplies: Your child will need to bring a full-size backpack each day to preschool and all backpacks, jackets, etc, should be labeled with the child’s name. All other necessary school supplies will be provided.
Field Trips: Students at Shaw Preschool will participate in approximately two field trips per year- one in the fall and one in the spring. Parents will need to drive their preschooler to each field trip, and stay with their child throughout the field trip. Detailed information will be sent before each field trip.
Students shall wear the current year’s Shaw Preschool T-shirt to all field trips.
Programs: Shaw Preschoolers will participate in a Christmas and a Spring Graduation program. No extra fees will be charged for these programs. These are generally at Shaw Dance Studio and Preschool, during the daytime hours. Students shall wear their Shaw Preschool T-shirt, and parents and grandparents are invited to observe.
Communication: We will send home monthly calendars as well as notes. Should parents have any questions or concerns, please call the studio, and speak to the preschool teachers or Jana Shaw.
Emails communication is our primary form of reaching out. Please check emails daily.
Messages sent via the Lillio App from Shaw Preschool staff are for emergency only- we will not reply.
Drop off/ Pick up: Preschoolers should arrive for class no more than five minutes early, and a five-minute grace period will be allowed after class has ended. After that, accounts will be charged $1.00 per minute the parent is late unless arrangements have been made.
Students shall walk in the studio’s front door, and shall exit the east doors. Parents MUST get out of vehicles to pick up children and walk them in. Please do NOT allow children to run across parking lot unattended.
Check in/Check Out: Shaw Preschool will use the Lillio App for daily check in and check out of each student. Parents must download the app, and will be able to check children in once in our school parking lot, with check out being done the same. Grandparents or neighbors who are picking up children must be registered by the parent, and may check children out on our school system. This app provides additional levels of security for our students.
Safety First
State Licensed Preschool: Shaw Preschool is fully licensed as a commercial preschool by the State of Utah. ALL staff members are background checked, CPR Certified, First Aid Certified, and receive at least 20 hours of outside training per year. Met and surpassed all state inspections and recommendations.
Lillio App: Shaw Preschool utilizes the Lillio App to meet the requirements of our Utah State Licensed Preschool. Drop off and pick up times are recorded daily for each child, as well as the individual dropping off or picking up daily.
